This spacious tween girl’s attic room originally had a small brown desk under the main window as well as an small white wood bench near it. Although it was clear the room needed and had ample space for studying and reading areas, neither of the current furniture for those tasks were properly and comfortably satisfying those functions. So we designed a custom window seat that spans the length of the window that is spacious, fun and also has plenty of drawer space for her books and toys. We then moved out the original desk from the space as well as a small dresser in the alcove and designed a bespoke desk in a deep purple color that has similar undertones to the lavender walls. The final result? A tone-on-tone color palette with plenty of pattern to energize the space and perfectly match our young client’s color preferences and lifestyle!
